HRH VISITS SHEARING SESSION IN FULL SWING
By J. Brock (FINN)
Whilst in the Falklands, HRH the Duke of York visited Goose Green, a settlement where 112 people were locked up for 28 days during the Falklands Conflict. He had the opportunity to see, first hand, sheep shearing in operation.
Several of the shearers were asked questions by the Duke, who seemed to enjoy the race that was progressing between two of Goose Green’s finest.
There was also a tour of the facility by the farm manager and a short lesson on classing wool.
And the little lamb says, "Well, maybe next year it will be my turn."
Enjoy the photos.
