Falklands Information Technology Trophy

Information Technology Trophy Presented to Infant/Junior School and Camp Education

By J. Brock (FINN)

Pinsent Masons, a local law firm, has presented a new school prize for 'Attainment in IT' to the Infant & Junior School and Camp Education. Presented to Head Teacher Ms Karen Steen by Solicitor, Alison Ingles, the attractive trophy will be awarded annually to those pupils whom teachers consider to have achieved the highest standards in IT.

Ms Steen commented that the use of computers in the school and camp education is increasing all the time, and she believes it is important that all children have the opportunity to become familiar with the latest technologies. She thanked Pinsent Masons for the trophy, which should provide further encouragement to children to use IT to help progress their learning across all areas of the curriculum. IT is an important part of any modern law firm, and is used by Pinsent Masons to help it achieve its corporate values of Approachable, Bold and Connected. Ms Inglis said she was delighted to have the opportunity to hand over the prize, not least because as a parent she had been very impressed by the IT skills her children had acquired at school.
