Mr Speaker, Honourable members, I would just like to echo my Honourable Colleague Ian Hansens remarks about the CPABIMR meeting. I thought the theme was very apt. I dont think it could possibly be a more apt theme for the Falklands at this current time. And I would also just, rather than go on at great length about it, I would just like to thank all the people that have been involved with the CPA obviously Cherie and Claudette for their huge amount of work trying to organise over 30 Parliamentarians, which must be a very daunting task at the very best of times.
I would also like to thank the people who provided food and accommodation the Malvina House Hotel, the Waterfront, Bluff Cove for an excellent day out with a wonderful restaurant and a beach café that is second to none in the Falklands, I think. I would also like to thank Shortys, I would like to thank Penguin Travel, Nigel Bishop, the Musicians which I thought were absolutely splendid, the kids who sang so well, Shirley Adams-Leach for organising them and one or two of the unsung heroes people we dont see in the limelight Flt Lt Karl Risen and his team for all their help and Co-operation on flights and also, of course, for Sukey (Cameron) and James Marsh for all their efforts in the UK organising people on flights often flights that would change at the last minute due to some whim or desire or practical necessity.
I am going to be very, very short as some of my Honourable Colleagues wish me to be. I would also like to point out that in the run-up to the referendum we have, I think, 56 varieties of media arriving in the Falklands so all of us will be busy, not just honourable members but all aspects of the community will be under the media gaze and I would urge people to be honest, to be straight forwards and tell it simply as it is.
And finally, to underline the comments made by my Colleague to the left about the referendum. The only message I would like to give out today is to make sure we vote. It is so important that we have a good turn-out. All of us will be actively campaigning as individuals and the really important message to get across here and now is that everybody uses their right to vote.
Thank-you Mr Speaker, I support the Motion.
